1. Tony Lucca.

 

“Tony Lucca may be a bit of a folkie, but his pop crossover appeal has landed him opening slots for ‘N Sync and Marc Anthony. He also has enough soul to hang with Joss Stone on a duet of “When Love Comes to Town” (check his MySpace site for the video).”

2. JC Chasez.

JC was on the Tyra Banks show this week.  He also found himself refuting the rumors that he was in a relationship with Chace Crawford.  “”For the record, we’re both straight. We’re not dating.”

3. Matt Morris.

Matt is quickly becoming the king of social media, twittering often and updating his blog.  This week he has been mixing his Album.  Still no word on a release date.

MMC news for the week  3 – 9 March 2008. 

1. Matt Morris.

This week Matt will be in Austin as he continues to work in the recording studio.  This album, Matt’s first released under the Tennman Records label, is expected out sometime 2008, with Matt hinting that it will be before the weather gets too hot.!  Via Matt’s twitter feed.

2.  Tony Lucca.

Matt’s not the only MMC’er working on a new Album.  Tony is currently working on his new recordings.  This time it will be an acoustic EP, titled “Close to home”.   Tony has uploaded some behind the scenes footage to youtube.

3. Ryan Gosling.

In a recent interview with Ryan he talked briefly about MMC, and the trouble he got into.

The story goes that Gosling was such a bad influence on the future popstrels that their mothers complained to the studio. ‘I was just telling them what I’d heard about sex,’ he says. ‘You know, the positions and stuff.’ Disney, unsurprisingly, hauled young Gosling into its offices: ‘Disney had a meeting with me, and they were like, ”You’re not Disney material. We’re gonna kick you off the show if you say anything sexual again.” I’m f—ing 12. All I care about is sex! How can I not talk about it? I don’t know what they expected.’

4. JC Chasez.

JC is in the TV guide, page 58 for March 10-16 issue.

You know, I have no control over that, but I’m not ashamed of it in any way, shape or form. I’m not going to be embarrassed by something I did when I was 14. Those are like my high-school years, and I’m proud of that.

1. Matt Morris.

This week Matt travelled to LA to continue recording his Album to be released under Justin Timberlake’s record company, Tennman Records. Via Matt’s twitter feed.

2. JC Chasez.

JC continues his duties as judge on MTV’s Dance Crew. 

3. Keri Russell.

Keri talks about being a mother and her adorable baby, River.  Via celebrity babies

4. Ryan Gosling.

News that ‘Lars and the Real Girls’ will be released on DVD was announced this week.  The release date is set for April  15 2008. Via Cinema Blend.

JC’s New Song ‘You Ruined Me For Life.’

This song is said to be on JC’s second solo album.  No word yet on a release date.  This is not the music video, but the song put together with some old clips of JC from MMC and Nsync days.

Former Disney Stars: Ryan, Justin, Keri, Britney

Newsday.com have a great write up about some of the famous MMC’ers.    With Matt Casella  talking about where we found some of the MMC’ers and his first thoughts on meeting them – Britney, Ryan, JC, Keri, Christina and Justin.

During its 1989-96 run, the Disney Channel variety series delivered a major peek into Hollywood’s future. Few could predict that its stable of kids — including Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Keri Russell and Britney Spears — would morph into Oscar-caliber actors, Grammy-winning singers and celebrity heavyweights.
